May 31, 2009: Winners announced!!
All 42 TRIAD IDOL finalists delivered fantastic performances today at the Final Event, held at the Carolina Theatre in downtown Greensboro. The audience witnessed a spectacular show!
The 2009 TRIAD IDOL winners, runners-up, and audience favorites live across the state—in Guilford, Forsyth, Mecklenburg, Cleveland, Pitt, and Rockingham counties.
8-12-year-old age group
- Triad Idol: Jordan Beaver, 11, Shelby
- First runner-up: CiCi Jansen, 12, Cornelius
- Second runner-up: Logan Welborn, 9, Lewisville
- Audience favorite: Julia Solomon, 12, Greensboro
13-18-year-old age group
- Triad Idol: Anna Belle Lusk, 15, Cornelius
- First runner-up: Mackenzie Roberts, 16, Greenville
- Second runner-up: Dionna Daniel, 14, Rural Hall
- Audience favorite: Andria Lowman, 18, Eden
19-and-older age group
- Triad Idol: Niccole Stephens, High Point
- First runner-up: Chrissy Simpson, Greensboro
- Second runner-up: LaShawn Millner, Greensboro
- Audience favorite: Bobby Pittman, Greensboro

Audience participation—and voting—is a very important component of the TRIAD IDOL experience! In fact, the audience will serve as the "fifth judge"—accounting for 20% of each contestant's score—at the Final Event on May 31. After the contestants in each age group perform, audience members will have the opportunity to "vote" ($1/vote) for their favorite contestants. The audience score will be added to the onstage judges' scores to arrive at each contestant's overall score.
The "audience favorite" in each age group will win two tickets to see the American Idols Live! Tour 2009 on August 2 at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex.
Good luck to all our finalists! They are an incredibly talented group!

Congratulations to the 2009 TRIAD IDOL finalists! After a hotly contested semi-final weekend, 14 contestants in each group—42 in total—are moving forward to the Final Event on May 31 at the Carolina Theatre in downtown Greensboro. Click here for ticket information.

The TRIAD IDOL 2009 quarter-final judges were privileged to meet nearly 300 amazing singers over the weekend! Unfortunately—although all of them were talented—only a small number could go through to the semi-final events, which will be held at the Odeon Theatre at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex on May 16 and 17.
All told, 30 contestants in the 8-12-year-old age group are going through to the semi-finals, as are 46 in the 13-18-year-old age group and 36 in the 19-and-older category.

Wow! One more day left to audition for TRIAD IDOL 2009! The judges have seen several hundred very talented performers at Four Seasons Town Centre on Friday night and both Four Seasons and Hanes Mall on Saturday.
Remember—the judges will be at both malls on Sunday, April 26, from 1–5 pm. This is your last chance to audition for TRIAD IDOL 2009! So—if you're age 8 to 108, and you enjoy singing—come out to the mall on Sunday!
