2010 TRIAD IDOL Finalists

Congratulations to the 2010 TRIAD IDOL Finalists!!

 

Fifteen finalists in each age group (for a total of 45) were announced at the end of each semi-final event on Saturday, June 5, and Sunday, June 6, 2010.

They will be competing at the 2010 TRIAD IDOL Final Event, which will start at 3 pm on Sunday, June 13, at the Carolina Theatre in downtown Greensboro. At the end of that event, CTG will crown the three 2010 Triad Idols and recognize the first- and second- runners-up as well as the audience favorite in each age group.

Finalists, Ages 8-12

Ten-year-old Brandi Alden lives in Cornelius, where she attends 4th grade at J.V. Washam Elementary. She is singing, "Don't Rain on my Parade."

Ke'Avia Artis is 9 years old and a 4th-grader at Murphy Traditional Academy. This McLeansville resident is singing, "Hero."

Greensboro's Taylor Beyrer is a 7th-grader at Kernodle Middle. She is singing, "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree."

A 12-year-old 7th-grader at Canterbury School in Greensboro, Frances Ganem is singing, "Shy," from Once Upon a Mattress.

The youngest finalist, 8-year-old Gabriel Gill, lives in Albemarle, where he is in the 2nd grade at Park Ridge Christian School. He's singing, "Dream for Your Inspiration."

Twelve-year-old Tanner Henson lives in Asheboro and attends 6th grade at Bennett School in Chatham County. Tanner's singing, "Who Am I."

A 7th-grader at Ashe County Middle, 12-year-old Kaleigh Kemp of Lansing is singing, "Summertime," from Porgy and Bess.

Greensboro Day School 7th-grader Henson Milam is 12 years old and lives in Summerfield. She's singing, "God Help the Outcasts," from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

A 6th-grader at Hanes Magnet Middle, 12-year-old Madeline Saintsing lives in Kernersville. She is singing, "Orange Colored Sky."

Natalie Santa Lucia of Denton is 12 years old and a 7th-grader at South Davidson MIddle. Natalie is singing, "Bring on the Rain."

Another 12-year-old 7th-grader from South Davidson Middle, Nicole Santa Lucia is Natalie's twin. Nicole is singing, "Broken Wing."

A 9-year-old Mebane resident who attends Grady Brown Elementary, Caroline Segars is singing, "Ben."

A 5th-grader at Canterbury School in Greensboro, Molly Stevens is 11 years old. She is singing, "Part of Your World," from The Little Mermaid.

Second runner-up in TRIAD IDOL 2009, 10-year-old Logan Welborn lives in Lewisville and is a 4th-grader at Forsyth Country Day School. Logan is singing, "Feelin' Good."

Greensboro's Logan-Ann Wetzbarger is 12 years old and a 7th-grader at St. Pius X School. She's singing, "Part of Your World," from The Little Mermaid.

Finalists, Ages 13-18

Seventeen-year-old Will Bednar of Summerfield is finishing his junior year at Northern Guilford High, but he'll be attending the North Carolina School of the Arts for his senior year. Will is singing, "Going Down."

Matt Bishop is 16 years old and lives in Ruffin. He attends Rockingham County High, where he's just finished his junior year. Matt is singing, "Summertime," from Porgy and Bess.

A sophomore majoring in Voice at Weaver Academy for the Performing Arts, 15-year-old Trea Brady lives in Greensboro. She's singing, "Good Morning, Baltimore," from Hairspray.

Courtney Cornelison of Jamestown is finishing her freshman year at Ragsdale High. This 14-year-old is singing, "Hallelujah."

The second runner-up in TRIAD IDOL 2009, 15-year-old Dionna Daniel of Rural Hall is a freshman at North Forsyth High. She is singing, "Home."

Thirteen-year-old Rebecca Evans of Greensboro was the TRIAD IDOL second runner-up and audience favorite in the 8-12-year-old category in 2007. Rebecca is finishing her 8th-grade year at Southeast Guilford Middle. She is singing, "Don't Rain on my Parade."

Gracey Falk of Greensboro is 13 years old and a 7th-grade homeschooler. She is singing, "Free to Be Me."

First runner-up in the 8-12-year-old age group in TRIAD IDOL 2009, Cici Jansen is a 13-year-old, 7th-grade homeschooler from Cornelius. Cici is singing, "I Know You Won't."

A rising sophomore at Weaver Academy for the Performing Arts, 15-year-old Bettina Lluhi of Greensboro is singing, "I'd Give my Life for You," from Miss Saigon.

As she finishes her 8th-grade year at Kernodle Middle, 15-year-old Cassie McKee of Greensboro is looking forward to attending Weaver Academy for the Performing Arts next year. Cassie is singing, "Because of You."

Seventeen-year-old singer/songwriter Sarah Osborne lives in Graham. She's a homeschooler who has just finished her junior year. Sarah is singing, "Wide Open Spaces."

Kristen Sasser lives in Lewisville and has just finished 8th-grade at Meadowlark Middle. This 14-year-old is singing, "We're Young and Beautiful."

Fifteen-year-old Anna Shelton lives in Liberty and attends Providence Grove High, where she just finished her sophomore year. Anna is singing, "Only Hope."

Charlotte resident Clayton Stephenson is 16 and attends Northwest School of the Arts, where he is a rising junior. Clayton is singing, "Seasons of Love," from Rent.

First runner-up in TRIAD IDOL's 8-12-year-old age group in both 2007 and 2008, 14-year-old Zykia Thrower of Greensboro is now competing in the teen category. Zykia, who has just finished 8th-grade at Kiser Middle, is singing, "Open my Heart."

Carrie Jane Bowling of Mayodan is a stay-at-home mom of two who is heading soon to a Nashville recording studio! Carrie Jane is singing, "Sweet Dreams."

The only six-time TRIAD IDOL semi-finalist and (now) four-time finalist, Quinton Bynum of Greensboro is an actor/singer at Foxfire Productions. He is singing, "Ain't too Proud to Beg."

Greensboro's Kolby Garrison is a rising senior at UNCG, where she's majoring in Communication Studies. She's singing, "I Dreamed a Dream," from Les Miserables.

Donna Gilmore lives in Winston-Salem and works at Forsyth Medical Center Imaging. She is singing, "Halo."

A homemaker and proud grandmother of three, Lena Gray of Kernersville is singing, "Proud Mary."

If you're at Starbucks on Pisgah Church Road in Greensboro, Christian Greenfield just might sing you a song as he whips up your order! Christian also works at Wesley Long Community Hospital and attends Guilford Tech. He is singing, "Red."

James Liebmann of Greensboro just graduated from Caldwell Academy and is in the midst of deciding what to do next. This classic movie/classic pop music fan is singing, "Dream a Little Dream."

The TRIAD IDOL 2009 audience favorite in the 13-18-year-old category, Andria Lowman of Eden is loving her latest role—playing mom to three-month-old Mariah. Andria, who works at Ruby Tuesday, is singing, "Let's Give Them Something to Talk About."

A life-long singer who loves reading almost as much as he loves singing and collecting music, Greensboro's Rickie Mack is singing, "Let's Stay Together."

Jaset Polastre of Greensboro has been singing since he could talk. An Anthropology student at UNCG, Jaset is singing, "My Way."

Massage therapist Aimee Reep lives in Trinity, but works in Greensboro, where she own Royal Treatment Bodyworks, which is located inside Twisted Dance Studios in downtown Greensboro. Aimee is singing, "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow."

Born and raised in Mt. Airy, Angela Resignalo now lives in Greensboro with her husband and 5-year-old daughter. She works as a hairstylist at Studio Z, a new hair salon in Greensboro. Angela is singing, "Settlin'."

Greensboro's Alexander Roddey has been singing in church and school since he was two years old. He works at Secure Watch ADT. Alexander is singing, "Heard It Through the Grapevine."

First runner-up in TRIAD IDOL 2009, Greensboro's Chrissy Simpson is always doing one of two things—talking or singing! Chrissy, a hairstylist who works at Click-n-Cuts in High Point, is singing, "I See You," from Avatar.

A 2nd-grade teacher assistant in Caswell County Schools, Mitzi Smith of Reidsville is married and has one son. Mitzi is singing, "Why They Call It Falling."
